About
Nikki Theroux is a Brooklyn-based dancer and choreographer whose work is devoted to sensation, awe, and curiosity. She earned her BFA in Dance Performance and Choreography from Marymount Manhattan College in 2014. Based in NYC since, Nikki has performed and presented work at venues including the Park Avenue Armory, the Joyce Theater, Bryant Park, Dixon Place, The Tank NYC, and CPR—Center for Performance Research. As a performer, Nikki has collaborated with More Fish Dance Company under Doron Perk, Soluq Dance Theater with Kevin Clark, and danced works by Mike Esperanza, Emily Greenwell, Ilya Nikurov, and more.
In 2021, she co-founded Wildflower Collective, alongside Dale Ratcliff and Tamara Leigh. Wildflower Collective’s work was presented by Fly on a Wall’s Excuse the Art (Atlanta, GA), RADFest (Kalamazoo, MI), St. Louis Contemporary Dance Festival (St. Louis, MO), and venues throughout New York City.
Her latest duet with Dale Ratcliff, The Art of Carrying, was developed through international residencies at Moulin/Belle (France) and Art Shelter (Toronto), as well as the LEIMAY INCUBATOR Program in NYC. In 2025, she was awarded a Brooklyn Arts Fund grant from the Brooklyn Arts Council to self-produce the work, which premiered at CPR—Center for Performance Research in December 2025.
Committed to creating more spaces for dance artists, Nikki co-produced Soft Bloom, a dance festival held at the Tank NYC in April 2026. In an effort to bring artists together in what can be an isolating process, the evening featured solo and duet works by Bailey Anglin, Ben Green, Doron Perk, Dale Ratcliff, and Nikki herself. Here she presented the first work-in-progress excerpt from Labyrinth, originally a solo and currently being developed into a trio.
Passionate about movement in all forms, Nikki has also been teaching dance, movement, and Pilates for over 10 years. In 2026, she graduated from the first cohort of the North American Ilan Lev Method school, and is now a certified practitioner. Nikki is thrilled to share with others the immense freedom, joy, and ease this method has brought to her life as a dancer and beyond.
